The Press
Portland, OR: The Clinker Press, 2016. Hardcover, marbled paper boards and cloth spine. The Press, a poem in two parts was written by the printer John McCreery in the early 1800s. The first part was written early in his career and depicts printing in a grand manner and full of idealism. The second part written much later in life is more sedated as expected. However, such a long literary work was not something expected from a printer and the text reflecting his pride and concerns about printing is unusual. 50 copies were bound in this edition. New / No jacket issued. Item #251
Price: $120.00
