"The Well of Loneliness" 1968 Movie Script
Greenway Productions, 1968. Original. Paper Cover. Estimating Script for a 1968 movie adaptation of "The Well of Loneliness", the 1928 novel by Radclyffe Hall. Screenplay was written by Robert Dozier based on the novel, and was in development but was apparently canceled. The book is a lesbian novel released in the late 1920's which caused controversy in both the United Kingdom and the US and led to legal battles over its content and its depiction of homosexuality. This item may be unique as very few references to this film ever being considered are available. Script is in good condition with some soiling to the cover and some light foxing to the edges. Pages are clean and bright. Some changes were made to the script and the new pages inserted in different colors. A few hand-written notes throughout. Dated November 25, 1968. Very Good. Item #288
